IPAK CV 06/05

IPAK photo-press agency is based in Ljubljana (Slovenia) it was established by photographer Bojan Brecelj who collaborated in the past with Gamma, Sygma, Saula, Corbis and Grazia Neri, mainly on feature projects worldwide. At the beginning IPAK existed as logistics support for creating and implementing photojournalistic work for freelance production and diffusion of photojournalistic and artwork. IPAK agency offers the following services:

Production of photojournalistic work world-wide

IPAK works with professional photographers and photojournalists producing features, working on photojournalistic research projects and photography, which is also applied in art projects in Slovenia and abroad. Photojournalists working with IPAK are also involved in different fields of visual arts and multimedia projects. Agency IPAK operates already eight years and has developed creative strategy of work and is known by quality photojournalistic work on the European market.

IPAK has developed web site witch enable customers to view features and selected images. We are about to launch also high-resolution download option. IPAK web site also offers search option through stock with the key words. The majority of the work of IPAK photographers and photojournalists is published on the web sites and can be viewed at http://www.ipak.org, and temporary sub site http://www.ipak.org/staff/.

Diffusionof photojournalistic work in Slovenia and Europe

IPAK collaborates with all major magazines and newspapers in Slovenia and operates as well in European countries through a network of photo-press agencies: FOCUS - Germany, DEADLINE - France, EyeVINE -England, MASI - Italy, IML - Greece, CONTACTO-Spain, CONTRAST(A), KTpictures (PL),  MOLOTA MEDIA (CS) .Through those agencies and directly, photojournalists have published their work in various European magazines: Dona (I), Grazia(I), Fortuna Sports Life (ESP), Viev (GR), Letemps (CH), L’espresso (I), Klettern (D), Geo (GR, F), Time, VSD (F), Spechio (I), Max (I), Colors, Rock and Ice (USA), L'alp (FR), Unterwasser (D), Playboy (SLO), Cosmopolitan (SLO), Meridiani (I), Montagne (I), etc.

Representing work of other agencies in Slovenia 

Beside the list of agencies that represent IPAK world wide we also have one way relationship with Network photographers-UK, Polaris USA, Still Pictures UK, Panos pictures UK, Editing- Fr, offering features and single search for magazines and corporate use in Slovenia. We are planning to be present also in ex Yu states, starting in Serbia and Croatia.     

 

Photojournalistic research project on various subjects

In many cases preparation of features require extensive research on the subject. Photographers undertake research projects, which in some cases involve journalists. Photographers working with IPAK have covered the following issues: consequences of war in Balkan, Mangrove forest ecosystem, water management, community empowerment projects, land issue, (sustainable) agriculture, visual communication in Japanese culture, human rights issues etc. Such projects have been completed in different parts of the world: Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Egypt, SE Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Papua NG), Tanzania and Slovenia.
